All of our work is underpinned with the ethos of inclusion and hearing the voices of those who are often unheard.
We also undertake some work directly in the field of inclusion and diversity. In particular, we have worked alongside Devon Strategic Partnership to develop Open Hearts Open Minds - a handbook and e-news aimed at giving people and organisations the skills to be more inclusive. More details of this work can be seen below.
In addition, examples of Contracts in this area include:
Community Council of Devon and Devon Strategic Partnership Gender Issue Group – we organised a Conference - ‘Women’s Lives in Devon’ for these two organisations. This well attended and highly successful Conference is now ensuring that women’s issues are back on the agenda. The Key Issues document from the Conference is available here.
Devon Strategic Partnership – Red Door Associates undertook an equality proofing exercise of the Sustainable Communities theme reports for the Partnership.
Exeter Community Initiatives – evaluation of a project providing support within the BME communities in Exeter (Ujima).
Open Hearts Open Minds
Over the past 5 years, much of our works specifically in the area of Socail Inclusion has been the development of Open Hearts Open Minds (in partnership) - a Social Inclusion Handbook, and a social inclusion website and e-news.
